Just FYI...
In today's Nature Journal, there is (or will be) an announcement
concerning the ESA's Venus Express discovery which confirms the
existence of lightning on Venus.
Very interesting stuff. The magnetic antenna on the Venus
Express probe has apparently proven that the lightning is really
there.
At an announcement made in Paris, David Grinspoon - from
Denver's Museum of Nature and Science - said:
"We consider this to be the first definitive evidence of abundant
lighting on Venus."
The lightning is apparently cloud-to-cloud and approximately 35
miles above the surface of Venus.
Thanks, Bob
