contrast issue

Post #1by chrisr » 25.11.2007, 08:31

Correct me if I'm wrong, but celestia is supposed to display the universe as we see it right? My gripe is with contrast. As you can see in this image there is an object (star) that should contrast everything else to black. I would really like to see contrast effects implemented in celestia.
arg, i just realized i have no idea how to post pictures. Hopefully you guys can understand my issue...[/quote]
Just do what makes you happy provided you do not infringe on another's happiness for there is no point in living if you do not have happiness.
[tex]Happiness = \[\int_a^b \int_c^d \int_e^f \int_g^h U(x,y,z,t)\,dx dy dz dt\] = 42[/tex]
If only we knew U!

There's been little effort in making stars look realistic, despite my semi-constant campaigning. But the thread that ElChristou pointed you to does have some interesting star effects. I hope somehing good comes of it.
Current Setup:
Windows 7 64 bit. Celestia 1.6.0.
AMD Athlon Processor, 1.6 Ghz, 3 Gb RAM
ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics
