++++++++++++++++++++++++
I just noticed that our Celestial Matters site and forum are mentioned/linked absolutely NOWHERE in any official place where "Celestia related sites" are referred to!
++++++++++++++++++++++++
CM is online since Christmas 2006 and undoubtedly some of the best textures, texture tools , models, add-ons for Celestia may be found there, let alone lots of Celestia relevant forum discussion.
Moreover practically ALL active members of the Celestia community are registered members of Celestial Matters!
Still no reference to CM exists at
So let me suppose it was only negligence.
Wow!

Still no reference to CM exists at
- The official Celestia link page
http://www.celestiaproject.net/celestia/
under Related Sites
However, one finds completely DEAD sites like "Mostly Harmless" the last entry of which was in 2004... - The Celestia WIKI book.
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Celestia
Nothing related to CM despite an extensive collection of references with relation to Celestia. - The CM Thread Celestial Matters News in this forum is NOT a sticky post in 'users' and has correspondingly moved out of sight (users/page 3).
- There is NO mention of CM under Celestia Resources in the README of the Celestia distribution!
Yet, instead, one finds e.g. Pat Suwalski's site referenced there, which is almost void of Celestia content apart from a few screenshots! The last Celestia related entry refers to version 1.4.0. We all know when that came out.
So let me suppose it was only negligence.
Wow!

It is just negligence--I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a very good webmaster. If you can take care of adding a note about CelestialMatters to the README (still time to get it into 1.5.1, too), I'll handle updating the web site, forum, and the WikiBook. I do want to point out that anyone can edit the WikiBook, however

It's listed in the Sticky titled Start here: FAQs, features, news & collections
That sticky was created because people were complaining that there were too many stickies, causing no postings to be visible on the main page.

Selden,
come on, this must be a joke and makes the case even worse....
Do you really think that the relevance of CM and all that it offers is to be seen at the same level as the thread "post your pictures here" that is next to the reference to CM, all being rather far down the list??

@Whoever added the CM links in the Wikibook:
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Celestia
Two of the three links were either non-functional or incorrect. I have corrected them.

Re: CelestialMatters News
Tomorrow, May 12th at about 8:30 a.m. EDT, ibiblio will be going offline for a little while for maintenance. The CM will be unavailable during this time. It should not be more than an hour or so before everything is back to normal.

Hi all,
these binary raw data about Dione (23k) and Enceladus (14k), I prepared for further use with my F-TexTools,

Re: CelestialMatters News
Celestial Matters is down for the moment.
The reason is that ibiblio, our host, are upgrading their database systems today, which affects our pages and forum, since our MySql accounts are offline for the duration. Downtime should not be for more than a few hours.

Re: CelestialMatters News
Ok, we were back for some hours and now back down. It seems the ibiblio people ran into some compability problems with a lot of old databases, so they took their servers offline (purposely) tonight, to work on it. Hopefully, it won?t be too long,
