Hey Thanks AGAIN, John...
Spent the better part of this early a.m. re-downloading all of your
textures from the Motherlode. Please remember that this is my 4th
installation of Celestia, so I'm having to get everything once again.
I did run into some 404 errors - "Link not found" though. Sorry, but
I don't remember which ones. I'll see if I can maintain a log next time.
I finally got this thing working the way it should now, so I'm hoping
I won't have to go through this anymore. Believe it or not, I
did backup the first three versions of this Vista thingy, but the CD's
show that nothing was saved. <shrug>
At any rate, many thanks for your work here.
Take care, Bob

Guys,
if you never download the Celestia SOURCES, then you also overlook the nice hires textures in textures/hires that I did!
From the same Phoebe data, I made a great 2k texture (in textures/hires) and in collaboration with Jestr we designed a great, big model for it.
When did I write last time that I NEVER upload to the Motherlode. So if you want to check some of my textures, certainly not there.
Moreover my 16k Enceladus preview shots you can also see in this forum and in CM of course.

Very good,I get it,but your texture is slightly disaligned with the model:

Do we ALSO need a new model for Phoebe?

Certainly, that's the whole point. There is even a very hires cmod model by Jestr, specially tuned to this official 2k Phoebe texture of mine. We intensively collaborated about this project. The details I can only check further around the weekend.
Why ndon't you search for my name and Phoebe in the forum? Perhaps I published the stuff there as well.

Sorry to say that.I DID a search, but you DIDN??T publish. The present model has some disaligments with the previous texture, too.Actually,it appears that in case of John??s new texture, the "fractures" are smaller and less frequent.Congratullations,John!
There isn??t ANY good Phoebe high resolution model available YET...
