I got involved with other more urgent stuff and my time is limited. See my PM. You will have to wait a bit. Anyway my Iapetus upgrades will go to CVS when I will be satisfied with the result.

When did you learn such patience, good doctor? Boy, I'm PROUD of you.
Hee, hee again...
I, of course am interested in EVERYTHING you're doing. I am content,
however, to wait until YOU are satisfied with your work. When THAT
happens, I know I'll be downloading something magnificent from the web.
Love ya Doc...

John,
sorry, but there is my 4k Iapetus texture in the Celestia CVS source distribution, which even has more imaging data than your 4k texture.
But your texture is missing the exciting new and very recent data from the close-by passage. So that's what was at stake in my posts...
Cheers,
Fridger

That's good to know, John... KEEP 'em coming.
Not everyone HAS access to the latest scientific data.

That's not quite what I meant good doctor, but your point is well taken.
What I meant was that not everyone has YOUR resources i.e.- Brains,
Political and Scientific connections, God knows how many computers and
visualization aids, etc.

Ah,...point taken. Still people who do have the practice of making textures can well profit from these public imaging data. That's what I meant to say! I think this also applies to John Van Vliet and various others.

Well, at any rate, thanks VERY much for what you have provided. I've
used MANY of your textures on my ex-pathetic machine, and I've also
installed quite a few of them on this new machine.
Thanks again, Brain-Dead

john,
I've been using ISIS3 for a while now and I think it's great. It takes a while to get used to but once you do, you can write scripts to automate everything.
It requires a lot of space though. The MRO data folder is 11.6 GB alone. Every time I do a new image that needs new spice kernels They are 200 + mb a piece. The program folder is about 380 mb and the base data folder 500 or so. My data folder has all the missions ISIS covers. It's 27.8 GB.
