Rock slides on Mars

I did this HiRise image last night and noticed what looks like trails from rocks rolling down hill. This is a .5 meter resolution image showing the trails.

Assuming that the trails are from rocks rolling down the hill, then - where
are the rocks that caused the trails? Shouldn't they be visible at the end of
each trail?

I think they rolled off the image. That full res shot is at the bottom of the image.
Or maybe there are creatures on mars making these tracks.
I did 1 or 2 a while back that showed the boulders at the end. I also did an image a while back that show the tracks from the rovers. Can't remember the file names now. I'll have to check.
The shots above are also on the ASU site. The file folder for the above image is PSP_005543_1725. I did create this from the edr's. A mosaic from 20 red ccd's.
ElChristou, The full res png from the whole image is 284.8 mb. A little too big for imageshack or my site. That's scaled down a little from the original data. I could project it to .3 meters per pixel but it gives my computer fits.

I think I may have found a couple of the rocks? I'll have to try this one at .3 mpp and see if it clears things up a little.

Well, in either case, it's way cool to look at the surface this way. I'm
getting old and blind now too, so thanks for the high-lighted image. For
some reason, I just thought that the boulders would be bigger. At any
rate, thanks very much for sharing.

I reprocessed the image and projected it at .3 meters / pixel and at least one rock stands out a little better. See near the bottom.



It also looks like the one I marked with "fell in the crater?" kept going and rolled past the image. It kind of looks like it got airborne and created a small crater ant the bottom of the larger one. Then hit the crater below the "c" in crater. That is about a 50 foot leap.
