Celestial Phenomena

Post #1by Calculus » 13.12.2002, 02:46

In 1998 the moon occulted Venus and Jupiter at the same time.
This event was visible from the South Atlantic Ocean. The previous occultation of the 2 brightest planets by the moon happend in 567AD. There is no other known occurence.
The next "double" occultation will take place in 2056 with Mars and Mercury.

I made a shot of this phenomenon in my Gallery.

That's great !!

Now, I'm curious. How do you take these pictures that depict several snapshots taken over time ? For example :

I am running 1.2.5b2, but I don't see a way to do this. Do you capture several images and merge them together using Photoshop or some other tool like that ??

PS: I am new to Celestia and I am loving every minute with it so far !!!
