Ok then, you're right, the background is blue pale. Now for the Bold font, I understand, but it would be a bit too "hard" for most users; don't you have any solutions, using CSS style or simply using bigger fonts via the commands of your browser?

Personally, I find that a dark blue text font on white/yellowish background reads much better than black!! All my computers are configured for dark blue default text in the menues, consoles etc.

You mean like this?
Or like this?
Obviously I prefer the second one, and IMHO it doesn't seem so "hard", as Chris says.
Regarding the screen fonts size, my problem is not the color itself, it's the contrast with the background.
Remember that not all Celestians are young guys, may be there are some (or many) other elders like me.

My personal favorite is an almost white light gray on a dark gray background. Like on this blog:

Andrea, I mean if all the text was bold, it would become quite heavy... now, I'm pretty sure you can do something using your local settings to resolve your problem (have you tried style sheets?)...

Sure I tried, no valuable results.
Anyhow, it's not a big problem, I can survive with the actual SubSilver.

These blue strings are almost unreadable in Solaris...

I did not mean such a bright blue.

In decimal RGB, I use (0,0,97).

Note this is optimized for a WHITE background, not for the Solaris theme.
