animation of supernova (possibly not what you think it is)

Post #1by the bluemarble guy » 28.06.2007, 01:50

basicly, i want to know how hard it would be to use delestia scripts to do a version of the attack "supernova" from the game final fantasy VII in celestia. I am asking because the hardest part would be the expanding sun, while most other parts would involve a sprite explosion, or in the case of the end of the animation, the addition of a nebula.

I am curious just because I think it would be interesting to see such an epic attack recreated in celestia.

Celestia does not (yet?) support changing the radius of an object while Celestia is running, so you'd have to fake it by some other method. One way would be to have many objects with different sizes which get drawn at the same location at different times.
