Will Celestia work for Yellow Dog Linux?
(This is YDL: )

Yellow Dog Linux is for the Playstation 3, and if it were usable on it...
Celestia could look great on a high-def TV.
I admire your program, please don't system bash here (heh, I get enough of that) I'm just wondering if it will work for YDL

Yes, there is no reason why Celestia wouldn't work on YDL. That being said, when running Linux on the PS3 you don't have access to harware acceleration and its ridiculous 250MB of RAM make it unfit for anything but the most basic tasks. I don't own a PS3 myself but that's what I've heard from friends who do.
There definitely could be potential for a native port of Celestia on the PS3, but console programming is difficult and I don't think any of us has experience in that field. Considering the production cost of modern console games, even if the PS3 API is open, I doubt this kind of port can be done in opensource.
