During some test with the eclipse finder, I met this:

A second shadow in perfect symmetry on the dark side... (visible with ambiant light higher than normal)

Someone confirm?

The shadow on the dark side is a visual defect which has been present in Celestia since the beginning. The OpenGL 2.0 Pender path does not show it. My understanding is that it is not likely to get fixed in the other Render paths.

Selden is correct. It is also only visible when ambient light is enabled.

Tx Selden, Chris.

 what a bad tester I am... first time I met this bug... (well it's true I don't use often the ambiant light setting...)
