Free use?

In Motherlode i notice that in lot's of add-ons there is a phrase says "Free for non commercial use" or "I authorize that this product may be distributed free of charge, and non-commercially". That's mean that i can use and motify some add-ons as i like it, right? For example i downloaded Bonandi and motified it orbiting around 61 UMa. I hope that this is not illegal.
Of course for personal use only.

If it's only for your own use, you can do whatever you want with those addons.

Using them to make money is another matter entirely.
