Startup question

Post #1by buggs_moran » 04.02.2007, 02:47

Is there a way to have Celestia start up with medium resolution textures always selected?

My search skills failed me on this one...

I seem to recall that that used to be the default.

As a result of popular demand, Windows Celestia now records more settings at exit than it used to. The level of "r" you are using when Celestia exits is one of them. I don't know what is implemented on the other platforms.

You can't please everyone...

Yeah, oh well. When I am in designing mode, I flip back and forth through the resolutions and sometimes accidentally leave it on high. It's just the wait factor that stinks. C'est la vie...

Perhaps there is a script command that can be placed in start.cel to do this.
I haven't found an appropriate command, but it might be worth the search..for you. :)
