I forgot to mention, you also need to re-locate your textures along with the SSC. That's probably why you can't see them.
Are you able to select and goto dialuna when the ssc is in it's own folder in the extras directory?

Here's my quick and dirty Dialuna just now created for your benefit:

Code: Select all

"Dialuna" "Sol/Earth"
{
   Texture "dialuna.*"
   BumpMap "dialunabump.*"
   BumpHeight 3.5
   Radius   1737.53
   # Oblateness 0.002

   InfoURL "http://www.nineplanets.org/luna.html"

   #CustomOrbit "moon"
   EllipticalOrbit {
      Period           27.321661
      SemiMajorAxis    38440
      Eccentricity     0.054900
      Inclination      5.15
   }

   Obliquity      23.45 # mean axis
   EquatorAscendingNode    0.0  # mean axis
   RotationOffset       38

   Albedo           0.12
}

This is called dialuna.ssc and lives in extras>dialuna folder.
The textures dialuna.jpg and dialunabump.jpg must be present in extras>dialuna>textures>medres.

Hope this makes it clear.

Good luck.

Very nice Reiko,

I see that as well as Star Trek, you're also into music. :)

Did you create these, or are they someone elses?

No I didn't make them. I'm not sure what mod they are from.

The Rosetta nebula by Rassilon, one of my very favourite add-ons. I added the star cluster with Rassilon's solar generator. Also added fictional ringed planet.
In this shot we're tracking one of the planets outer moons. At 3x speed it makes a stunning screen animation!

bh:

Would you put your nebula/star cluster add-on onto motherlode, or your own site for download? It looks ... peaceful! 8)

Hello Frank... the nebula and cluster came from Rassilon's resources.
The nebula uses the V380_gas.png (from NGC1999) on the rosetta mesh with the cluster from Rass' globular cluster generator.

You will also need the texture packs for any planets generated.
All you need can be found here:
http://www.celestiaproject.net/~rassilon/

Post some pics of what you come up with!

In the Star Trek series Enterprise it was shown that Andorians come from a world that is a moon of a ringed gas giant.

No not yet. I need to get permission first because I built this solar system out of planets and textures taken from addons made by other people.

The Chorus and Solo textures are from the Orion's Arm add-on; the clouds are by John Dollan and the textures by me. The OA stuff is free for non-commercial use, so you can use them for free add-ons by all means; but it would be nice to mention Orion's Arm if you do.

Stephen Inniss has done a lot of work on the theoretical side of these chlorine rich worlds; you might like to read his speculations here.

your galaxies seem way too bright. Did you download a galaxy add-on from the Motherlode?
