Interesting new site

I found a cool site. I don't know how long it's been around, but it has some great potential for those of us interested in Astronomical observation and even those doing add-ons in Celestia. You see a full sky map (scrollable and zoomable). You can search or click on an item and a popup comes up with object info, relevant links, photos, and articles (I like that the most). I put in some of the Cataclysmic Variables I am working on for Celestia and they popped right up. Plus it looks up Vizier info if you like. You can add images, links and articles as well. Pretty neat.

Then really I recommend Stellarium (Linux, Win32 Mac)

or good old Xephem (Linux, UNIX, Win32) which has ultimate accuracy of professional level (I worked with the author for 11 years )

This Java stuff, well...In Xephem you may load or unload on the fly any kind of specialized catalog, for example.
