Modifying stars.dat

Hi.

I would like to change stars.dat. There's a program that convert it to text file, but the link is dead now. I want to create a new stars.dat without any star, so I can create my own galaxy in the same place as Milky Way. I went to CVS and downloaded stars.txt, I renamed to stars.dat but didn't worked. So I need help.
One day we will swim in the subsurface ocean of Europa and take shower in ethane lakes of Titan.

You need to build your .dat file using makestardb.exe. However, I'm not sure an empty star.dat file will work. Then, as I built it monthes ago for my personal use, I can provide you a star.dat file that contains one single star if you're interested in it.

You can download it from this link :

The file will be available for a few days.
Please let me know if it works correctly on your system.

Kikinho,

I've tried the file on my system and everything is fine. What does the information text say about the radius of Sol ? On my system, I get "Radius: 1.00 RSun".
