About the huge glowing balls, I may have found the solution. I'm using Runar's sun addon, and everything in his SSC doesn't have an albedo command. I guess it's set to 1 by default, which is causing this huge luminosity. It's weird, however, that an albedo of 1 gives those huge balls at a distance.

I may have to add an Albedo 0 to everything which isn't in the base installation.

The only thing I don't like about this Titan is its cloud layer. It's too sharply defined, especially at this high altitude from the ground. I know this is currently a limitation of Celestia, but a blurry layer is a must, here.

Good, thanks.

Chris will try do generate the whole haze layer within Mie theory ASAP. That is really missing and he's keen to get this done.

This is to let you know that following Cham's suggestion, I have just committed an update of galaxy.cpp to CVS where the brightness of Irr galaxies (LMC, SMC,...) is considerably reduced.

Cham was right in his suspicion that the brightness increase of the Irr galaxies was directly correlated to my fixing of the size bug ( factor of two reduction in size!)
Since the total number of luminous sprites remained the same, the sprite density and thus brightness increased substantially.

That I have corrected now and would appreciate some respective feedback!

Thanks,
Fridger

I now have committed the further brightness tuning of elliptical galaxies as requested by Cham. Moreover, I have matched Titans (pointlike) color RGB parameter to its (near) atmosphere color. This little issue was noted by Robert Skuridin.
