I created POCKET CELESTIA by copying the complete Celestia Program directory from the Program Files folder, as well as my extras directory onto a USB Memory Stick.
This may require slight modification to celestia.cfg to make sure it can locate the extras folder, but once done, you can demo Celestia anywhere you can find a USB port. (albeit with seriously slower load times, and the exclusion of any really huge addons)
Once fully loaded, it will still run at whatever FPS the target hardware allows.

build for Celestia
Yup. I want Celestia on my phone. Nothing like zipping around in the solar system on a stamp-sized screen. It??s that, and golf. Only challenge is to squeeze in my 128k Earth on the memory stick...

That 128k Earth is nothing but hot air . 8GB sticks are already at the horizon, so a decent 64k Earth would make it with a few tricks...

I find quickly an exemple of websites where the 8 GB memory stick is in preorder, look here (in french):

It costs more 400 ?‚¬

I wouldn't recommend using these large textures in this context. It seems that the slow transfer speed from M-stick when loading into memory is prohibitive.
For example if I enable my 7MB mirror animation SSC it takes what seems like 15 minutes or more to startup Celestia on the stick, as compared to 15-30 seconds on a PC-based config.
Not sure why it's so bad, but maybe won't be such a problem with DDS tiles. Let us know how you get on with this.
