Ok, guys, new entries... fictive textures...

Someone can tell me if the actual models of the official default package are accurate? Do we have info on color of those bodies?

Here is one of them used as a basis for an alien spaceship; the Muuh are cryobiological creatures from a Titan-like moon world; here is one of their spaceships.

the ice is used as propellant and as a shield; the fusion motors are at the rear of the ice asteroid, and the living quarters are suspended by a tether behind (shielded from the radiation produced by the motors by a smaller lump of rock or ice)

Not so easy from those shots... to do a model I need lot of photo from all angles... even like this, as I won't use scientifical method the model won't be mathematical accurate, just a visual approximation... which can be good but not enough for Celestia I suppose... :?

I know that, Chris, and maybe we will have soon some better views of this asteroid, but it looks like an interesting body, with its curious 'boutons d'acn?©', doesn'it? So, another way, 'family', to model another fictitious objects... Jeam

Hi all, hi ElChristou,

Can I use these asteroid models in my Hoshikaze universe ? I'm testing my stellar system editor and searching for suitable models and textures...

Atseroid belt

Post #37by Siriusmystery » 26.09.2006, 14:41

I needed more than one day to load down the most of the addons.

But already after thesolar packs the program began to display lots of white balls around the earth. Now I found out, that was caused by the addon "asteroids." as privide by the celestia addon page.

Contrary to that, your asteroids look quite better, though they are obvioulsy painted.

I just disable now each addon by turningg it in the addon file to a win RAR archive and will test oneafter another.
Then I can precisly find out how the single addons work. Some are good but many have not the right proportions. I will see at the end what I will keep and what not
Anyway we are never satisfied. and we always search for more? Note: When visiting my homepage you will will probably need Internet Explorer that reads its cfm code

Siriusmystery,

I don't understand precisely your points, but you have to know that this asteroids repository is more for fun and for use with fictional addons than something else...

Resurrecting this cold and dead place ...

Here's a free pebble to use with your addons. Change the texture, change the color definition and the SSC declarations, do wathever you want with it, and remember to smile ;-)

That model is beautiful! I especially like the craters.
