The gorgeous new Berlin main station! It has 5 levels where trains come in and get out. Really a cool piece of architecture. I arrived there two weeks ago, spending a great week end in Berlin...

You see the clouds in the background? This is the Earth. And the 'building' is a deutsch modul for the ISS, with his panels 8) jEAM

A glass-panelled ISS module would be quite funny actually, probably wouldn't last a second up there ;).

Well, you're almost wrong :)

It's one of the last modules planned to be installed in the ISS, but the ESA has provided an observation cupola that has a large expanse of high-quality optical glass.

I've been in Berlin the past week, and it's indeed the new Central station (Hauptbahnhof) Great building, great city!

The closing tag for italics, should have the slash before the letter "i", not after.

Oh, thanks. I wish everything in life was that easy to fix.

Any threads here that one might recommend, that are more interesting than others? I teach 5th grade and plan on using Celestia in my class although it is far and away more complex/ detailed than is required. I like my students to know that there is more out there than what's in our texts.

This may not be the thread in which to ask this but, I can't resist a "test" thread in "purgatory." Or as the indigenous population would say "What the hell?"

There are some educational activities on the Motherlode, although they're oriented more toward upper grade levels. And they're rather large.

Chris was mumbling about adding an Educational forum, but it hasn't happened yet.

That observation cupola looks awesome! I'd love to spend a few hours staring out those windows! I visited NASA in 2004 and got to watch for a bit while Italy's contributed module to the ISS was being worked on (Node 2?). Quite fascinating!
