Good Archive File?

I have downloaded Celestia source code from several mirror locations in both tar.tar and tar.gz formats. I can't get the files to extract with Winzip 10 or Powerzip. I receive errors that the tar.tar file is an invalid archive and the tar.gz file errors out on acinclude.m4.in It says that the file is corrupted. This is on a winxp system.

Google has not led me to any answers so far, can someone help?

Thanks

Try removing the .gz extension, some browsers automatically decompress downloaded files.

I ran across a few threads last night that talked about the browser decompressing the file, but renaming did not work. So what I did was open the file from the location, instead of downloading it. When I did that, Powerzip automatically opened it and I could extract the tar file. Then of course I had to extract the files from the .tar file, but no errors.... it worked.

Thanks for the help.
