I was a little curious as to how this program runs after being installed..
In otherwords, After installing it does it stay inactive until I execute the program? Or does it run in the background all the time?
Im mainly curious if this program will affect the performance of my other programs like PC games and the like...
Does installing this PRG affect other software?

Of course it stays inactive until started by you. Celestia is NOT a screensaver . Also you forgot to tell whether you use Celestia for Windows, OSX or Linux? If you ask any questions about Celestia, this is generally important, since Celestia exists for all three platforms.
Once you have started Celestia AND you leave it running, it will slow down other programs started thereafter. Just like it is true with any other CPU/GPU-intensive applications.

OOPs sorry bout that.. I was wondering about the Windows Version..
And I realize its not a screensaver, but there are programs that you install sometimes that will leave a portion of itself running in the background (Zonealarm, and Anit-Virus programs are good examples), and others (the kind I prefer) that dont run AT ALL unless you execure them..
In any case I was just curious, I always make a clone of my system partition before installing anything anway, so if it turnout out to be a problem I could always revert to just before installing it.
Thanks for the reply
