Sorry if this is in the wrong place.
I am having a bit of slowdown in Celestia and I have no idea what the recommended system requirements are.
My System is:
2. Something Ghz Celeron
512Mb Ram
128 Geforce Fx 5200 PCI
Windows Xp Home
It averages around 30 FPS - but surely this cannot be this hefty on the system.

Yes it can. Celestia is extremely taxing on the PC, on all it's components; RAM, CPU, GPU. There is probably no PC that will hold Celestia right at say 60 FPS in all situations.
Also, Celerons are rather crappy. Believe me, I know, I own one ;_; Wait until you start adding on more hefty add-ons. I've seen mine crawl at like 1-2 FPS at times.
The recommended requirements are pretty much faster, the better.
