Transparent bubble model?

Hiya everyone, hope I can get some help.

Basically, im making an addon where I want to make a planet in the process of being terraformed, and one of the stages is to have a worldhouse over the whole planet. What I want to find is a spherical model that I can use to put a transparent glass-looking shell around the entire planet. I already have the texture I want to use, I was just wondering if anyone knows of/has a spherical model capable of supporting a transparent texture on the outside?

Just create a sphere (in Anim8tor for example), apply a material to it, then alter the transparency of the material to whatever you want. Export to 3DS.

Any other 3D program should be able to do similar.

I used Pluto in this one - its pretty much the only place in our solar system I havent edited too much :P lol. Eventually im going to put it on another planet I made, and make textures for various stages of the terraforming :D

Thank for the help.

Nice. A world roof might be a bit closer to the surface, though; not certain of that, however.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking. In that picture its only 100km above the surface, but since Pluto is so small.... heh. The world im working on is roughly between the size of Ganymede and Mars.
