Old Pictures from Celestia (locked)

Post any pictures made with Celestia. I was surprised there wasn't already a pic thread for this beautiful space sim!

Editing is allowed :) Also, if you're using addons or mods for the picture, you should tell us what it is.

This is from the Zeta Reticulis system. A planet called Cylliat. Definately one of the most beautiful fictional planetary systems I've downloaded :) The pics have only been edited with brightness and contrast.

That's probably because you can just say what addons you're using and then post a cel:// URL link to send people there 'in person' in Celestia... Saves on the bandwidth too :).

True. But pictures are still nice (for those with a crappy system, or at work)

Kitteh, you should have a look at: http://shatters.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7565

So, to avoid a so loong loading time everytime someone enter this Thread (not everyone is using DSL), it would be cool to use thumbs; note it's not necessary to do very small ones, but...

You need to post a full view of this world.. Im interested in how it turned out... From what I can see it looks quite interesting...

Try to post a link instead of the actuall picture by just typing it in as is

I'm trying to teach the cavemen how to play scrabble, its uphill work. The only word they know is Uhh and they dont know how to spell it!

8O :o :D

WOW!

They are beautiful!

May I ask what you are using as a model/texture for Mars as it currently looks i.e in today's terms not necessarily teraformed as yet.

I am using Jestr's stuff from the ML.
(eagerly waiting for CelestialMatters 8O )
Best regards

The Terraformed Mars texture is based on my own Mars textures that is available for download. The thread is in the textures section.

http://216.231.48.101/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8838

the texture is much more impressive live in Celestia than in those little pictures
