Celestia 1.2.4 want start on XP Pro and Matrox 450

Post #1by Bernhard Steuber » 17.10.2002, 12:04

I already got Celestia 1.2.4 to run beautiful on Windows ME.
Now on my new Pentium IV 2.2 with Matrox (driver 5.86) and Windows Professional Service Pack 1 installed it crashes when started. It just shows the program window with nothing in and the microsoft error window.
Need help.
Thanks

Celestia seems to have trouble with the in-the-box OpenGL drivers (which are incredibly slow, anyhow). Download the latest driver set from Matrox and you should be able to run Celestia.

Hello Chris.

Driver release 1.2.4 is the most actual driver from matrox.
I also tried the micrososft driver and some earlier releases of the matrox driver. So I still need help or ideas. Is their anybody who has a simular configuration?
