Why is so hard to find new images of the moon?

I'm trying to find very high resolution images of both side of the moon and it is very hard not to say almost impossible. All the images that I can find are from the 50's, 60's and early 70's, not to mention the dark side of the moon where I can only found one crappy image taken by the Lunik 3 in 1959.

To make things easier, lets balme my ignorance and lack of knowledge. So can you please tell me if it is possible to find recently taken (90's or 21st century) high resolution images from both sides of the moon? Can you please point me to the the porper web site?

I wonder how much images the SMART-1 mission has taken. Judging on the press release rate, that would be a few.
