Lagrange points

Post #1by Gunhand1961 » 13.01.2006, 04:11

How would one put a model at the lagrange points common between earth and the moon and earth and the sun?

In a nut shell you would have to create a new planetary orbit with the exact Elliptical Orbit parametersat what ever distance (L1, L2 or L3) you are looking for, and then assign the model to that orbit by using the mesh tag. Unfortunately at the I do not think you can use the custom orbits and will have to switch back to using the older orbit model because Celestia does not currently support automatic calculations of LaGrange points.
