Sorry: my experience is that you can't mix JPEG and DDS image formats in a VT.
Celestia (actually your graphics card) should be able to display the 24bit DDS formats. I don't know if the different DDs formats can be mixed.
use
nvdxt -u8888
instead of
nvdxt -dxt3
or
nvdxt -u888
instead of
nvdxt -dxt1
VT level11-12 images creation problems

Sorry for the negative answer, but happy for the information, I'll try it.
Thanks a lot, Selden.
Bye

Well, I followed all the instructions, used .bmp images as start point, saved results as nvdxt -u8888 .dds files (using PhotoShop CS2), but there is no evident improvement in image quality at level12.
Now I'm downloading with eMule the JMII_DDS_Levels8-12_250_56.zip file, and with this I'll make some further check.
I don't give up, one day or another one I'll obtain my wished results.
Bye and thank you.

Oh, you are right Mauricio99, I did, but I was taken by the new Mars textures by Don, so I forgot to spread these.
OK, I have prepared a .zip file, about 16 MB, containing the level 11 and 12 that must go with all the other levels in BlueMarble DDS directory.
Obviously you'll need Kinderino's Venice levels 6-10 too, that you can find in Motherlode.
I don't know when my file will be available there, anyhow, don't forget this is Holidays Time!
I'll edit this post when will be ready for download
Enjoy, and Happy New Year!
Bye

Oh, thank you Boux, now I see it.
Anyhow he had a positive effect with me, because now I'll upload my Venice VT textures.
Bye and Happy New Year.
