segmentation fault on redhat 7.3

Post #1by patrick73 » 26.09.2002, 14:54

I downloaded a celestia-1.2.4 rpm and it installs fine on my redhat system, however when I run it I get the following console messages:
Parent body 'BD -10 3166' of 'b' not found.
fv: 6
This is followed by a gnome dialog box claiming the application has seg faulted.

Any suggestions?

The system is running linux 2.4.17 with a mostly redhat 7.3 install (glibc-2.2.90)

Excactly the same problem here. But only when I try to explore the Saturn system. Even the demo crashes at that point.

Version: 1.2.4 compiled from sources
System: RedHat 7.3
CPU: Pentium III 1 GHz
Card: ATI Radeon 7500

The problem with Saturn is a known one.
Look for Saturn in this forum and you'll find a fix.
