Flashing galaxies

On the screen I've the M31 galaxy with in the background the Milkyway as a tiny galaxy.
I drag with my mouse in such a way that the M31 is rotating and the Milkyway dissappears from the screen. At that moment the M31 becomes more bright.
I use a larger(1M) stars.dat database and with the mag to 15.00.

I've checked this phenomena again with the very latest(2005-12-12) release of Celestia, downloaded from CVS.
Unfortunatly, the problem is still there.

But it seems that it only happen when I make use of the large 2.5M stars.dat database. And it's not really flashing but a change in brightness as soon as the milkyway dissappear from the screen by rotating another galaxy(M31 or M33) The brightness-change depends on the choosen magnitude and automag on/off make no difference.

Because this huge database is not original from Celestia it not a big issue to worry about
