Setting to other than local time zones?

Hi everyone,

I just downloaded this wonderful program. Wow! is all I can say. I'm definitely a newbie so far. After enjoying Google Earth for a while now, this is just great, though I know it's not satellite photos, at least at high resolutions.

At any rate, one of the things I find so fascinating so far is simply knowing the time of day at certain points and where the sun is shining in relation to other parts of the globe.

Which brings me to my question. I live in California. Let's say I want to look at the location of Tokyo, Japan, at a given time. I know I have the option of setting the time to my local zone, Pacific Time (GMT-8), can I set it to Tokyo time?

If I reset GMT (UTC), that will change the position of the sun relative to that time in GMT, correct? So is it possible somehow? I know I can simply make the calculation in my head (GMT+9), but am wondering if it's possible to enter it.

I couldn't find anything that specified the time zone in the celestia.cfg file...

It seems to take the local time zone from your OS' clock settings - if I changed the time zone there and then relaunched Celestia then the time zone shown in "Show Local Time" changed to the new one.

So I'd suspect there's no way to do this within Celestia. Looks like you'll just have to figure it out in your head...
