One rover is at Meridiani Planum

http://www.windows.ucar.edu/tour/link=/ ... lanum.html
Near 2 degrees South Latitude 6 West Longitude

The other is at Gusev Crater
Near 14.59 South Latitude 175.3 East longitude

Make your own .ssc (i.e. "marsloc.ssc")

Code: Select all

Location "Gusev" "Sol/Mars"
{
    LongLat [ 175.4 -14.6 0 ]
    Size 166
    Type "AA"
}

Location "Meridiani Planum" "Sol/Mars"
    {
    LongLat [ 357.5 0.2 0 ]
    Size 1100
    Type "PM"
}

You asked where can you find the exact coordinates.
This link seems to be authoritative :

http://webgis.wr.usgs.gov/mer/october_6_2003_memo.htm

They say the Spirit Rover is at Gusev Crater at
14.59 degrees south Latitude, 175.30 east longitude

They say the Opportunity Rover is at Meridiani Planum at
1.98 south latitude, 354.06 east longitude

The Mars Exploration Rovers (MER) are called MER-A (Spirit)
and MER-B (Opportunity).

Here are more details, perhaps about the uncertainty :
Image

Each degree of latitude is 36.8 miles, and the rovers are moving around.
So the exact coordinates may change. Every .01 degree is .37 miles.
So there are 1953 feet per .01 degree latitude. They are near the equator so longitudinal degrees have about the same size as latitudes.

There is a website that gives detailed pictures of the locations of the rovers at :
