help with setting correct time.

I had to uninstall celestia once because of something. so today i reinstall it and the time on the clock in celestia is a day ahead! how do i set the time to the correct time?

Most likely, either the time of day on your computer is an hour off, or it's set to the wrong time zone.

the time for our computer is right. we recently set the time an hour back for daylight savings. we have the mountian time time zone for colorado.

Then your computer's time zone is not set correctly.

You are not supposed to change the time manually (if that's really what happened). When the computer's time zone has been set correctly, the change in the time that the computer displays happens automatically. These days, all operating systems include tables which specify when the time changes between Daylight Savings and Standard.

i checked the computers date and time and time zone settings and they are all correct. time zone- mountain standard time (gmt -7:00 hours)
all they times are correct for the computer but in celestia it says its exaclty 7 hours ahead. and it just found another problem, every time i open celestia, it resets all my settings. I want earth with clouds on and magnitude of 7 for stars plus other minor things that don't want to have to reset every time i open celestia.

ok, i uninstalled celestia and reinstalled to another folder. the setting stays the smae now but the time is still 7 hours off.

Celestia is displaying UTC (Universal Time, Coordinated, previously known as Greenwitch Mean Time). Note the three letters UTC after the time value in the upper right corner of its window.

To tell it to use your local time, run Celestia, open its Time menu, select the bottom-most entry "Show Local Time".
