LEXX addon for celestia

Post #1by ScyBladeghost » 21.10.2005, 01:52

Hi everyone, I've been away for a long while however since making the Event Horizon and Silent Running models, I did build the LEXX ship for celestia, and its quite detailed. the only way I could submit it is through a 3.5mb e-mail, in a .rar file. ( Adirondack ) if your still around maybe you can help again? I no longer have a web site so I don't know how I could post a screenshot, maybe I can send one to someone and can post one?

anyways the LEXX ship I built is near the star Agena and looks hip.
I'd like to have it hosted on the motherlode with my other 2 models if possible,................

I'd like to hear from you all and what your opinions are and any help would be appreciated.

Thanks ScyBladeghost Johnny V

:D Thank You CHAM for uploading this preview pic, as you can see the tail still needs some work, I don't want happen with my valley forge model happen here, meaning it was rushed, and was released red instead of rustic reddish brown. as you can see theres lots of detail on this model but the tail tip is still just a little too plain, so I want to fix that first and ,yes I'd be happy to send you the file as gratitude for posting the screenshot Cham, Thanks. but I do want to finish the model a little more so thats its actually worth having. I believe its the only 3d model of the lexx anywhere on the web. so give me a few days and I'll post a reply here when its done.

Again thanks for your help in posting. JV

Looking forward to the finished product!

I was never a fan of the show (I actually couldn't stand it), but I'm a fanatic for a good 3DS model!!

I just like Sci-Fi thats all, and model building. another ship I was to build was the cygnus from disneys black hole movie, but that will take awhile if at all. I have a prototype, but that will take time. working on the tail now and its getting there, thanks for the interest.

I have already published a model of that spaceship (from the Black Hole movie), in another thread. Just do a search and you should be able to find it.

The model isn't mine. I have edited it however and it's now available on the MotherLode in my Cygnus X addon..

Hi ScyBladeghost,

just use the uploadform of the Motherlode when it's ready.
Please pack it in a ZIP-file (if possible).

See also my PM.

to copy something is easy, original content needs careful consideration, I'd love to build original content.

What I appreciate from celestia is its ability to render complex 3ds models.

even syd mead concepts may not always inspire feasibility, I found scale to be a very important element.

example: jet engines, micro jet engines micro enough to become jetpacks.

halo has already been done so it would wouldn't pose a challenge, rendevous with rama would be more interesting.

even just for fun...

A Great Big THANK YOU for making the model!! I loaded it up today in Celestia and it is Absolutely a Beautiful Model! Great Workmanship and detail!!

I am a big fan of the TV series LEXX and have posted links to your model and will upload screencaps later tonight at the "billbored"s of the 2 fansites to which I belong:
( http://www.LexxFans.com and http://www.LexxZone.com )

I have been hovering around here and operating Celestia for some time but just had to sign up today to let you know your efforts are appreciated and did not go unnoticed! I look forward to any other models you post, whether LEXX or not.
