By clicking "Gallery" on my Celestia TextureFoundry site,
http://www.celestiaproject.net/~t00fri/texfoundry.php4,
you get to a growing collection of my images that illustrate some new techniques within Celestia 1.25.
There is more to come, notably on my /dynamical/ hires bumpmapping experiments.
The corresponding texture files will soon or later also arrive, but as described there are still these idiotic upload problems for large files to be surmounted. I hope I shall at least be able to upload the smaller ones very soon.

This texture and the corresponding Spec file along with the light settings in solarsys.ssc involve quite a bit of tuning. The mars texture is 8k dds which I made from the RedMars raw data (Link in "Links" on TeXfoundry site).
It involves color correction, unsharp masking and static bumpmapping with a 8k level map. The most tedius task was to make the spec file which is not very large. At least the shorter stuff I plan to upload to my Texfoundry site within the next days. The upload of my very long textures is still problematic and I am trying hard to find a way around...It is /not/ a matter of speed or other technical constraints.
