I don??t know if it is a bug or not,but when I get closer to Earth, the sea seem to be divided and have two colors, like a mosaic.I am using Celestia 1.4.0 pre6,the Blue Marble.ctx.
Look:

It appears that not only the sea is a mosaic

Is it a bug or a limitation of Blue Marble itself?

Some of the tiles are from you. Some are from jekoz and I think most of them is from kinderino. The Blue Marble is from Walter Comer or NASA;I don??t remember exactly...

I enabled my "earth-spec" textures and I have the same probl??me.
I think we need to verify the earth-spec tiles used.
I don't remember where the mine come from ?

Easy one
I don't think this is a bug.
You'll note in the center of your screen captures is a portion of the Andes with no snow. That is a high res add on, which has tiles in it that do not match the color of the sea in the main texture you are using.
Specifically I believe the add on is...
Argentina: Comahue Region, Bariloche & Lakes
by Guillermo Abramson
A bit strange though, as Walter's BM texture is what is suggested in the files description on the Motherlode.

I use the "Comahue region" addon too.
But the problem (with eart-spec enabled) is present everywhere not only for the south america...
So ?
I'm going to verify the "earth-spec" tiles I have because I can see a pale reflection of the south-east coast of Spain near the India !
Thanks for your indications

My "earth-spec" VT was starting at the level6 (to the level10 ?).
I think they come from the "VT_128k_Islands" addon by Jens Meyer.
In the install.txt of this addon at the point 2, Jens quote :
So, I saved my tiles, I replaced these one by the "earth-spec-hs-32k" by Harald Schmidt downloaded from motherlode and recopied my previous tiles in the same folder.
All it's OK

Copy the'level6' and 'level7' folder from 'earth-spec' folder into your Earth-specular virtual texture folder.
