Star colour tables

Post #1by ajtribick » 12.09.2005, 14:34

The % key can be used to switch between colour tables (classic and blackbody), but which table is which? Is the blackbody table the one in which Vega looks more blue?

To the best of what I have been able to figure out. When you press % and see all the nice vibrant reds and blues, you are seeing the PURE blackbody temperature, no luminosity effects changing that temperature color. Interesting to go to scaled disks, pull back to see many stars and kick in the blackbody temp colors.
