Looking for Gliese 2 catalogue

Post #1by Malenfant » 27.08.2005, 20:08

Does anyone know where to get an electronic copy of the original Gliese 2 catalogue? Vizier doesn't have it anymore (it got updated to Gliese 3 in 1991).

I'm looking for the original here, not any processed versions. I found a scan of the paper here but I can't extract any of the data there unless I read it manually, and I want to do it automatically.

Yes, I know it's obsolete and out of date and inaccurate. I still require it for my own nefarious purposes though :).

Luckily, 3D Starmaps still has it.

Hope it helps!

Nope. That's Gliese3 (unsurprising, given the name of the file ;)), which is the one I didn't want. I wanted the previous edition of that...

EDIT: Ah, but hunting around there, they do have Gliese2 as well (same link, just change the 3 to a 2). So thanks! :)

D'oh! Sorry about that, I clicked on the wrong link to copy...

At any rate, glad you found the right one.
