Hi,
just wanted to start Celestia, version 1.3.2 under Gentoo Linux with
Qt: 3.3.2
KDE: 3.2.3 at the first time.
A splash windows appears for short time ("loading) then start process crashes with following output (in extracts):

Is OpenGL correctly set up on your machine? What does glxinfo report? Does glxgears run and with which framerate?

Your KDE installation looks a bit old, remember that there are incompatibilities between the various versions of gcc when linking to C++ libs. You must use the same version to compile Celestia than the one you used to compile Qt and KDE.
