Celestia 12.5b2 bug: orbital spasms

When the selected object's orbit is just barely within view, it often jumps around wildly, going in and out of view. This was observed after a "goto" to the ISS. The red orbital line flickered in and out of the window. Presumably this is due to rounding errors.

Config: WinMe, 256MB 500MHz P3, 128MB GeForce Ti4200.

This is also seen in v1.2.4.

When orbits are rendered, they're subdivided uniformly, resulting in very apparent inaccuracies when the camera is close to an orbit. It shouldn't be too difficult to get around the problem by using more segments for the part of the orbit near the camera, but I haven't experimented with this yet.
