I needed to enlarge the planets so they could all be seen from outside the entire solar system, so I made a temporary solarsys.ssc in which I multiplied the radius of each planet (and the moon) by 1000. I haven't been able to enlarge the sun though... I tried looking in stars.dat but it's all gibberish. Any suggestions?
thanks

where is that file?... can't find it in the Celestia Resources folder. I'm using the DMG on Mac, maybe it's a little different?
thanks.

I think it was added after v1.3.2 was finalized.
It's available on SourceForge at

yes, I got that version and I'm hoping to slowly work on a QT screencapture function for that... but I'm jumping back and forth right now between that version and 1.3.2, which I was using for a previous production project.
Brian's doing a planet addon? Will have to check on that...

Another thought: I haven't been using Partivew or Celestia that long, but I turned to Celestia for a near-earth asteroid project that I'm doing because I found it easier to pull the Harvard MPC data I needed into an .ssc file than to pull it into Partiview (I couldn't figure out how to pull into Partiview at all). What do you think about it?
thanks.
thanks.
