I'm trying to teach the cavemen how to play scrabble, its uphill work. The only word they know is Uhh and they dont know how to spell it!

http://www.Solarviews.com seems to me like a watered down version of nineplanets... But it has some pretty pictures!
http://www.skyandtelescope.com keeps me updated with observing info (with personalised sky almanacs for your region).
http://www.badastronomy.com has a lot of nice astronomy trivia in the Bitesize section as well as debunking bad astronomy in films, the news, etc.
http://www.jpl.nasa.gov is the best Nasa site by far.
And I hear that http://www.celestiaproject.net/celestia is especially good...
