Hello all, I have to say I am absolutely floored with Celestia and its capabilities. What a beautiful program?€¦if there's freeware out there better than this I definitely want to know about it.
I may be new to Celestia but I am certainly not new to space and astronomy, so I found my way around this program in no time. However, I am noticing issues with the add-ons. Most of the read-me files say to unzip the contents into the extras folder, which I have done.
The problem I am seeing most of the time is that while the planet models are in the given system, I am often seeing only blank white models, or perhaps with a monochrome reflection layer, however no textures.
Clearly I have texture files that are out of place or missing; I appreciate any help offered on this matter.
Making add-ons show properly

Thanks much, actually the directory appeared complicated until I investigated and loaded a few things in. One big mistake I was making was not to enable folder when extracting the zip files, but entering them into the proper custom extras subfolder unless told otherwise seems to do the job.
Beautiful work too?€¦I have a bunch of the Star Trek and Arc Builder files installed already. The 2001 add-on is great too.
