I have a 21" tft at work that I use at 1600x1200 (digital) with an Asus FX5200 card. The contrast is OK, but the pixel response is too slow. Single-pixel lines, like orbits and coordinate grids, disappear for a while when the viewpoint changes. In other words, Celestia really needs one of the new model flat panel displays designed with fast response drivers.

Most modern graphics cards include both digital and analog output connectors. At home I use 1600x1200 on a Hitachi 21" CRT (analog) with a PNY FX5700LE. It works fine.
