New exoplanets,but no extrasolar.ssc upates

Where is Chris?The last extrasolar.ssc update was in December 20 and since then,several planets were discovered including one with only 14 Earth masses.But I don??t understand why is this smallest planet(discovered in January 2005),since one of the Rho1 Cnc planet had a mass of 14 Earths.Is this new planet with a smaller radius?

Grant Hutchison was the person who kept the exoplanet list up to date. Unfortunately, due to other commitments, he is no longer contributing to Celestia.

Please provide a reference for the new low mass planet that you mention. I can't find any such.

If you're referring to the January 25th update located here, then they were already in the last update. In fact, I'm not certain why these worlds were listed as being new planets; it is possible that they were recently confirmed.

I think Danielj might be referring to two worlds that were recently discovered to have about 14 Earth masses. One was orbiting Rho Cancri, the other GJ 436 (which actually has a mass of some 21 Earth masses).

Apparently a new world was announced today, orbiting PSR 1257+12 B, being about 1/5 the size of Pluto (!). Here's where I found the story.

I'll be adding the new pulsar planet tonight . . . As Dollan noted, the other five 'new' planets are already in extrasolar.ssc.

Speaking of new extrasolar planets, it seems the Geneva Group has found six new planets (plus one corfirmation) but Extrasolar Planet Encyclopaedia hasn't yet been updated.
