Yeah... Well, regrettably, not a pro in everything...
Anyway, i really appreciate your idea. Will look further into it.

Fridger and Runar:

I love Runar's Sun texture but also wish the yellows were more toned down, particularly at a distance. I am loading the add-on into all of my high school's Celestia computers (35 of them at last count), so if you do have a chance to adjust the colors via mipmaps, please have a go ASAP. My 170 students begin a study of the Sun in 2 weeks, and I would love to have a modification to the add-on loaded when they do ... if at all possible .... no rush or anything ... only if you have time :)

Thanks in advance.,

Frank

Frank, does this mean you'll be updating your educational activities with the new sun texture?

Dear Sky Pilot:

Yes. I already cleared it with Runar. I have already incorporated the texture into my tour of the solar system (Activity 3 and 3E) and I will also undate Activity 6, the Life and Death of Stars, with the add-on as soon as I can. I will upload the updated versions in the next week or so.

Frank,

just so you know: I am working on the sun! But it's quite a bit of work and I am sort of "ambitious" ;-)

There was plenty of "cross-talking" with Runar, of course, beforehand.

Bye Fridger

The Runar sun has another problem : the sunflares are considered spacecrafts(as seen from a script)and from a distance, the flares looks like white dots in sun disc. This is very weird!I don??t understand why this happen if the flares are part of the atmosphere.

Nah, it's not so weird !, Celestia is treating them as planets....

...could an albedo setting of "0" be used to remedy this ?
