What for God's sake is going on? 391 guests. The forum response is dead slow since hours. Where do we get 391 guests from? ;-)

Yes, it's dead slow for me too.

I find this huge number of guests very suspicious. Or is it ? Maybe it's an hacker attempt to overload the board ? Maybe some company which is making a commercial astronomy software doesn't like the free Celestia idea ?
"Well! I've often seen a cat without a grin", thought Alice; "but a grin without a cat! It's the most curious thing I ever saw in all my life!"

It's a reappearance of the same worm that damaged shatters.net back in December by exploiting a vulnerability in phpBB. After the attack, I upgraded phpBB to 2.0.11 so that shatters.net won't be defaced, but the worm is still generating a huge amount of traffic. I believe that I've now fixed the problem by adding an Apache server rewriting rule that returns an error to any worm-generated HTTP requests. This should drastically cut down the amount of bandwidth wasted.
