Problem with full-screen
Problem with full-screen
I hope someone can help me with this, it's been almost two years since I saw the original post. Anyhow, when in full sreen the left hand side of the screen does not show to the edge while the right hand side seems fine. (Selden[?] once answered a similar question but I can't find that post.) I am using 1.4pre6 with a GF FX5900XT GS, if that helps. It seems to me that it was a simple key command that shifted the contents of the window over a bit.

Your operating system, please! Celestia is a multiplatform application and we cannot know what you are using if you do not tell us. The issue you address is strongly OS-dependent...

Do you have the latest NVIDIA drivers installed? Under Win XP SR1 and a FX5900 Ultra with 1600x1200 pix I do not observe any shifts of the fullscreen position. However, I frequently compile the code freshly from CVS, so I have no idea about the official releases or prereleases.
Probably Selden can provide further hints. He seems to be getting back to the forum now about once per day...

The Nvidia drivers include position and timing adjustments which may (or may not) help.
Alternatively, you might want to investigate PowerStrip ( http://entechtaiwan.net/util/ps.shtm ) which enables adjustment of all possible video timing signals for most video cards.

So...I tried the auto-screen adjust on my monitor and everything is fine now My apologies for taking up your time, I appreciate your efforts both in answering my post and in contributing to Celestia as much as you both do. The program is a joy, I wish you both luck in your efforts. You are both, in aspect, not unlike gods..
