His last post was from Dec. 23!

Anybody got an idea?

The last time he responded to me by email, he was sick. He didn't told me what was his problem, and I hope it was just a cold, or something not too severe. He's probably on vacation somewhere.

I was going to make a post about this, I was getting worried Selden may have been somehow involved in the tsunami disaster, preventing him from posting.

I hope Colonel Selden gets back to shatters.net soon, the forum seems to be experiencing spam lately that hasn't been cleaned up. :(

I too sincerely hope that all is well with Colonel Selden. His rank came as a surprise to me. In light of this, I think that he can only be on a top secret undercover mission to flush out and vaporize an internaional ring of spam merchants, and so save the world from their tide of filth and business propositions.

I don't know if Selden is a Colonel or not, but he is at Cornell University. Does this clarify matters?

Perhaps is is on vacation between sessions?

A number of people (including myself) are aware of his professional assignment to Cornell's computer dept.

Gentle folk,

Thanks for your concern.

Sadly, my absence has been due to medical reasons, not vacation with relatives. I have been seeing much more of my relatives, though. :)

I won't be online very often for at least the next couple of months, so I won't be able to continue moderating the Celestia Forums. Please behave yourselves!

p.s. although I did enlist in the USAF for several years, I was never an officer.

I hoped I was wrong on this. I'm wishing you the best luck, health and care, Selden. I hope your sickness will be gone fast.

We love you !

Sorry, I misunderstood and thought John Van Vliet spelt Colonel wrong, Cornell university does seem more likely.

Poor Selden, I hope it isn't too serious. I wonder if Chris will hire a replacement moderator.
